Airlines carry dangerous goods in the cargo holds of their aircraft everyday.  Due to the temperature, pressure, and vibration considerations, and the potential for a catastrophic incident, the carriage of dangerous goods by air is strictly regulated.  Even items that may not initially be considered dangerous goods may be hazardous (”hidden dangerous goods”)
